Big AZ Tents & Events started as Bartons' Balloon-a-tics, a small family business renting giant inflatables to car dealers and others. As we've continued to grow, we now provide our customers with everything related to parties, events, sales and promotions.
Jim moved from Pittsburgh to Arizona with his mother, father, three brothers, and sister in 1963. After working at numerous local car dealerships, Jim decided to go out on his own in 2011. When his balloon and inflatables business took off, Jim knew he would need a bigger space, and that’s when Big AZ Promotions was born.
Since 2011, Jim has grown this business from a one-man show to a team of 15 full-time employees. Recently rebranded as Big AZ Tents & Events, our company handles used car tent sales across Arizona, new dealership grand openings, and a slew of weddings and other events around Phoenix. Everyone knows they can call “Big Jim” for help with pulling off an incredible event.
As much as Jim lives and breathes for his company, his true loves are his three granddaughters Charlotte, Wrenley, and Reagan. He spends his spare time with them by swimming, making mac and cheese, and even setting up bounce houses and waterslides in the backyard!
Jim also loves taking vacations with his wife Susan, and spending time with his kids Matt, Lindsey, Camille, and Casey. Each of his children have helped grow the business in some way, and a few are even full-time employees here! It is a dream come true for Jim to be surrounded by family while running a successful business.
